K12 Education Resources

The Umpqua Basin Explorer is in the process of being enhanced to include K-12 Education Resources for teachers and students. 

To find K-12 learning resources and activities in the Umpqua basin, please see the Oregon Explorers Moodle page. Moodle is an internationally adopted, open-source course management system that provides an easy interface for instructors to craft and implement learning activities for students. This Oregon Explorers Moodle service is maintained by the Oregon Virtual School District (ORVSD). The Oregon Explorers initiative is a pilot Oregon Explorer K-12 education program coordinated by the Alder Creek Children's Forest in Douglas County and funded by the Gray Family Fund.

To learn about the educational resources available for specific learning locations in the Umpqua Basin, visit a learning location site (also featured in the "learn about a place" section of the Umpqua Basin Explorer).  Here you can access information (expertise, mapping tools, available photos and videos) specific to these six locations.
